I’m not sure what every one is carrying on about re this sleepless night thing.. while my wife may have an alternate vie, I say to all expectant fathers out there, it’s not a problem… hehe

Truth be known, that while I am as grumpy as the next bloke who gets woken in the night.. for our baby it hardly seems a challenge… I say that as a guy who pointed my (loaded) gun at my Army sergeant, after two weeks of being woken up at night to fix other peoples mistakes.

She is 4 weeks old this Wednesday, and 1 full month old on Saturday, and its been like a blink of the eye. She is starting to engage us, with little smiles and special moments (esp during nappy change!!.. ya’ll know what I mean).

BTW, we still have no idea, who sent us flowers from Berlin, but thankyou again. Quick hello to Cusin Gyoula in Athens… Yasoo ksathelfi.

She's 2 weeks old now... she is a peaceful and happy baby,.. I still spend about 10 mins every morning just admiring what Helen and I have created. It's amazing how intimate she is with us, and Helen especialy. She sees no difference between herself and Helen, as far as she understands, they are one and the same being.

These last two weeks have been amaizing. She has just brought an amazing new element to our lives…SLEEP DEPRIVATION!!!

Yup.. she’s a screamer… mind you, it’s no where near the problem it is with other peoples kids. When its your own, you know you’ll make her pay one day…

Truth is, we are still delirious with happiness at her safe arrival… I want to thank everyone for all the well wishes, calls, emails etc, I will get to you all in time. I have to also thank the mystery person from Berlin Germany, who sent the flowers. We are not sure who you are (I’m thinking the name was confused on the card) but thankyou, and send us and email so we know who sent those lovely flowers.

It was amazing actually, was got well wishes from Brussels, Las Vegas, Phoenix USA, San Fran,… she will be a citizen of the world, that’s for sure.

What a smile!!

We brought our baby home today. I am still on cloud nine, she is fantastic. I actually don’t want to go back to work.. I’m seeing if I can convince Helen to do it and I’ll stay home to raise her… too bad I can’t make milk… bummer… It’s been interesting watching everybody rally around Xeni and Helen,… not many questions to Dad, which is perfectly understandable… but there is a wonderful joy in becoming a new dad, especially as a 38 year old, rather than a young man still sussing out his manhood. More pics to come.

I have to say how grateful Helen and I are to the wonderful team at Masada hospital. The support and advise the team have given both of us as we adjust to life with our new beautiful daughter has been invaluable. Special thanks to Christine (pictured) and Elisabeth (Liz).
